Florence was born on April 26, 1942 in Denver, CO, to Fred and Louella (Jones) Klemm.  She died December 15, 1995, of pulmonary sarcoidosis (Besnier-Boeck Disease) and lupus.   She was survived by her mother (since deceased) and a sister, Ethel Johnson.
After her death, the Florence Klemm Scholarship Fund, at Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida, was established in her memory by her mother and sister.  This fund is to be awarded to students who are deaf or blind, and if there are none, to students who are disabled, or who are interested in working with the disabled.  Donations in Florence's honor may be sent to Florida College, Att'n Florence F.
